On May 1, 2008 while serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom, Sgt. John “Kyle” Daggett’s vehicle was hit with a rocket propelled grenade. Kyle fought bravely for two weeks, but gave the ultimate sacrifice on May 15, 2008. Due to the severity of his injuries, Kyle’s family knew that if he had survived, he would have needed ongoing medical care.
To carry on Kyle’s legacy his family founded A Hero was Here, a non-profit organization committed to helping other injured service men and women, and their families. Our motto is “Serving those who have sacrificed serving us”.
A Hero Was Here is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charity.
